Curriculum

At Selly Oak we seek to offer our 6th form students a balanced and rewarding curriculum that will equip them with the skills and qualifications they need to lead a happy and fulfilling life.

During their time in 6th form all students will work towards improving their skills in Maths and English up to Level 2 standard as well as taking part in a Personal & Social Development course that will help them develop the social skills required for life after sixth form.

Students will also choose three optional courses to provide them with a rounded and practical education, ready for employment or further study once they leave Selly Oak.

In addition to the courses offered below, 6th form students also have the opportunity to spend one day a week at either a work experience placement, a college taster course or to carry out an independent home learning course.
