Newman University

The school has had a long partnership with Newman university and actively supports the development of trainee teachers knowledge about the impact that special needs has on learning. This is achieved by holding experience weeks for mainstream trainee teachers and some of our staff delivering lectures at the university. We are currently developing additional learning opportunities and experiences with our links between our PE department and the University.

Newman University have recently joined the Selly Oak School Trust board and are working with the school to develop additional special needs qualifications for our staff.
